Department of Crop Science and Biotechnology
The Department of Crop Science and Biotechnology educates students in the field of crop science with traditional and high-technology courses such as food production, biotechnology, utilization of germplasm and natural phytochemicals, and environment-friendly cropping systems, to name just a few. The department leads students in acquiring basic knowledge of natural and life science, and develops their theoretical and practical knowledge of industry practices through various experiments in laboratories as well as through lectures in the classroom. The graduates of this department will be able to make contributions to future industries ranging from traditional agricultural industries to the highly modernized bio-industry.
